The Canadian Hot Stars is made up of veteran musicians from the Edmonton area whose roots date back to the "Tailgate Jazz Band" and the "Alberta Gentlemen of Jazz" that were active from the mid 1950s through the 90s. The band reunites with Juno nominated trumpeter and former member of the band, Al Muirhead, to present a concert of traditional swing and New Orleans style jazz, including blues, spirituals, swing, and show tunes from the 20s, 30s, and 40s.
